Launch a technology affiliate of an established non-technology firm
Midtown Technologies
Goal:
In 2006, Midtown Technologies was launched as an affiliate of Midtown Equities in order to deliver infrastructure deployment solutions to the complex technology needs of commercial, affluent residential and mixed-used developments. Midtown Technologies’ business goal was to generate new clients outside of its primary relationship with Midtown Equities, establishing itself as the leading resource of technology infrastructure solutions in the development sector.
Goal:
In order to realize Midtown’s business growth goals, Stephenson Group needed to identify, and create messaging for, the key issues driving the development industry, namely: green/renewable resource technology, senior citizen/assistive technology, luxury/amenity technology and affordable/subsidized housing technology. The campaign was further segmented by regional, national and global market targets. Stephenson Group leveraged a series of client case studies, speaking engagement and thought leadership initiatives to place in-depth contributed articles and feature interviews in key publications.
Results:
Within six months, Stephenson Group had secured key media wins in leading targeted press, including: Reuters, Investor’s Daily, NJ Sun Press, national network of Business Journals, nationally-syndicated radio program Money Matters, New York Times, Retirement TV, Real Estate Finance and others. Stephenson Group also negotiated leadership positioning for MT’s “Genius Building” concept, earning contributed article and speaking engagement wins for the topic.
The campaign has generated six new prospect leads, each valued with a potential revenue win of $1 million plus; creation of a “Genius Building” branding that has earned top billing at a key industry conference and publication; plus creation of entry opportunities into the senior housing, and international markets.
